Welcome Mick McConnell, CEO North America

We are pleased to announce today the appointment of Mick McConnell as CEO, North America. McConnell will lead our New York team and oversee work on clients such as Bank of America, NASA, Move United and Michael J. Fox Foundation.

McConnell joins Superunion from the consultancy Lippincott, where he was Partner of Design. Originally trained as an architect, McConnell worked on large projects including the Yas Hotel in Abu Dhabi and held a number of senior roles in the architecture industry. He then moved into the world of design, becoming Executive Creative Director at digital agency R/GA, followed by Head of Creative, North America at Samsung (SEA) and Senior VP, Global Head of Innovation and Strategy at WeWork. At WeWork, McConnell helped develop the standards for physical space as well as the guidelines for how to market, sell and operate them. His work helped WeWork go from 1-2 openings per month to over 50 per month at peak.

Other brand-side roles include Global Head of Design at Chipotle, and Design Director, North America at Starbucks.

At Superunion North America, Mick will focus on building exemplary experiences for our clients and our team and, as part of this, the New York office is currently being reimagined at 23 W 23rd as a collaboration clubhouse.
