The Truth About Creativity

Scott Lambert takes to the stage in Spikes Asia to blow away the smoke that surrounds the myths of creativity.

The most valuable currency in business isn’t technology, or offices, or even talent, which will always come and go — it’s ideas. Ideas solve problems. Ideas invent what’s next. Ideas inspire people. Ideas last. And best of all, anyone can have them. For free. The myth of the creative genius or the Eureka! moment is just that, a myth.

Our Singapore design director, Scott Lambert, will take to the stage in Spikes Asia to deconstruct the mirrors and blow away the smoke that surrounds ideas. With his part talk, part mental workout, Scott will put the theory into practice - and you will come up with ideas, it's a promise.

The session will cover: 1. Getting started. 2. Getting ideas. 3. Getting unstuck. 4. Getting it out there

If you’re a creator or a client. An entrepreneur or an intrapreneur. Accelerating or incubating. Expanding or streamlining. Stuttering or Stuck. We will show you that Genius is most definitely not required to have great ideas.

Questions this session will answer:

Where on earth do amazing ideas come from?

I’m already a genius, that’s enough right?

How wide is the canyon between a good and a great idea?

Don’t miss Scott in Spikes on Wednesday, 26 September, 15:00-16:30, at the Makers Lab.
