Happy Lunar New Year!

The rabbit is a symbol of longevity, peace, and prosperity in Chinese culture, making 2023 a year of hope. 2023 is also the first year many people will finally be able to reunite with their families and loved ones over Chinese New Year. So, it was a very happy coincidence to us that the Mandarin word for rabbit ‘兔’, which is pronounced ‘tu’, emphasises our theme for this year:

‘兔getherness’.

To bring this year’s message to life, Design Bridge and Partners collaborated with local Hong Kong-based illustrator, designer and animator, Lik Mak aka Toy Shop Boy. His love of toys transforms ordinary, daily moments of life into an imaginary world full of vibrant colour. His playful, charming and humourful artwork style has been used by the likes of Octopus Card Image Store (allowing customers to create their own mobile Octopus) and Christmas animations for Island Shangri-La. His work has been featured by Victionary, AWW Magazine, Buck Design and more.

With family and loved ones on all our minds this year, our message is designed to celebrate human connection.
