Freelance Strategist – Research Associate

Superunion in London is looking for a freelance brand strategist to help with a global thought leadership piece.

You will work closely with the Chief Strategy Officer and project team to discover, collate and organise insightful analysis of academic and practice-based literature on topics of creativity, disruption, business and leadership. You will analyse key insights from the qualitative and quantitative research streams across the markets we work in, and will produce high-quality written content from the information obtained to publish in a variety of specialist media.

This is a four weeks’ assignment, working in our London office, with an opportunity to extend.

Your daily business:

  • Reporting to a Strategy Director, you’ll work closely with the Chief Strategy Officer and project team to complete the desk research phase of a major research project
  • You’ll assist in the discovery, collation, organisation and insightful analysis of academic and practice-based literature on topics such as creativity, disruption, business, and leadership
  • You’ll discover key insights to inform subsequent qualitative and quantitative research streams
  • You’ll write up and present findings in an easily digestible format
  • You’ll produce high-quality written content from the information obtained to publish in a variety of specialist media

Your background and superpowers:

  • Armed with insatiable curiosity, strong critical thinking skills and meticulous attention to detail, you analyse complex information and devise insights at speed
  • You have proven experience in research, analysis, and insights and may have already contributed to a major research or thought leadership project
  • You’re a keen information hunter, able to find and synthesise inputs from a variety of academic and practice-based sources
  • Your favourite words are ‘insight’, ‘analysis’, and ‘evidence’
  • You have extremely strong written English skills and can deliver your point of view in a clear and compelling manner
  • You thrive in a fast-paced work environment and have the ability to deliver work to strict deadlines
  • You’re able to take instructions and work independently to produce high quality deliverables
  • You’re fluent in PowerPoint, MS Word and Excel and know how to put together a killer presentation
  • You have an interest in and understanding of brands, creativity, and business
  • You are educated to degree level or equivalent in a relevant area of study
